Afghanistan is formed mostly of these textures, and a few I have altered slightly to suit. 5) [DRS]Yak_Fighter for the truck near the T spawn. yak_fighter.tripod.com/yfrb/yffnews.html 6) Records, for salvation from radio/tv hell. ** DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DE_ AND CE_ VERSIONS OF AFGHANISTAN ** This map, cs_afghanistan, is a conversion of my map de_afghanistan from bomb/defuse to hostage rescue. The map itself is virtually identical (there are NO layout changes), with just the following small changes; Changes in goals for each team, from bomb/defuse, to hostage rescue. Spawn points reversed. 1 texture misalignment I missed in de_afghanistan has been resolved. Wpoly reduction of around 10% throughout the map. ** CONSTRUCTION ** Base : Based on de_afghanistan, my own map. Editor(s) used : Worldcraft v2.1 & v3.3 Build Time : de_afghanistan took ~40 hours spread over 6 weeks. The conversion from de_ to cs_ took a few hours inc playtesting. Compile Time : ~30 minutes. Build & compile machine : Athlon 650mhz, Asus K7M motherboard, 256mb PC100 ram, 32mb Matrox G400 Max, Windows98, etc. Compile settings : (via a batch file) Nothing special, apart from Zoner's hlrad using the switches -chop 128 -scale 1.25 -gamma 0.45, and Zoner's hlcsg adding my custom wads into the bsp.
