I had a dream the night of Saturday August 18th 2001 that was very vivid. When I woke up Sunday morning it was like getting off a rollercoaster and going "whoah!". Being involved and highly interested in Day of Defeat since it came out, it's pretty much embedded into my mind. Garbage is one of my favorite bands (http://www.garbage.com). Their new album "Beautiful Garbage" is coming out on October 2nd and already have the songs, "Androgyny", "Cherry Lips", "Shut Your Mouth" and "Can't Cry These Tears", floating around the Internet. With these two influences, it's not suprising having a dream combining them together. I didn't want to forget this dream that much and it was inspiring to make a quick map. Basically what happend is it's about 8:00 AM and I was wandering around some war torn modern day city. Next thing I know I'm supposed to fill the spot of Garbage's departed bass player (I used to play bass a while back and Daniel Shulman is not fully with the band - he plays with them in the studio and live). So I end up at their home which is unaffected by the surrounding destruction and I'm pretty much just wandering around their house where they all live. The band is going about their daily morning routines. I guess they never expected to see any 3rd SS Panzer Division soldiers running up and down their stairs ;) --OBJECTIVES-- Cap the god damn flags. --SCORING-- 10 - Points awarded to the team with a successful recovery of all command points. 5 - Points awarded to the team member that captures a command point. 1 - Point for each flag held every 30 seconds.
