Known issues: -Occasionally the V22's wings will clip through the canyon walls. -The heavy machineguns won't stop firing (this was done on purpose, I put it here to warn you.) -The V22 won't level out on runway and will be banked if it is reversed to start place. -Canyon walls have HUGE pixels. This was done to increase framerates and decrease lag. -Canyon walls don't have the best joints. (Hey, nobody's perfect.) :) -Not all the intended runway markings show, but it still looks ok. I believe this is a bug with the HL engine. -V22 doesn't have any sound and propellers don't rotate. (Have you ever tried to make ambient_generics float around with a plane?) Map Constrution info: -Map made on World Craft 2.1 -Compile time- 1-2 minutes -Compile computer- 350 MHz PII, 64 MB RAM, VooDoo3 2000 -Construction time- 10-12 hours spanned over 1 week. First I tried making my own plane, but it was buggy so I downloaded the V22 prefab from the Black Mesa Air Force site at http://www.planethalflife.com/bmaf Map hints -The plane's throttle control is at the very front of the cockpit. Walk IN BETWEEN THE CHAIRS AND ONTO THE CONSOLE AND HIT USE TO ACTIVATE THE PLANE. -The pool below the spawn area is to fall into so you don't take falling damage if you can't go on the plane. -When in the plane at high altitude stay away from doors and windows so you don't take heavy mgun fire. -The heavy mguns are remotely operated and have unpenetrable armor so just dodge their bullets. -Don't hang around the back of the plane or you'll take falling damage during the nose dive. -On the low pass you can jump out. It's a good idea because if you wait for the plane to stop on the runway then you'll take heavy mgun fire, and probably AR grenades. If you go during the low pass, you only have to worry about alien grunts (until the humans get there). -If you wait for the plane to stop on the runway, stay away from the cabin as AR grenades fly in. -Try not to fall out of the plane at high altitude or the fall will kill you. -Stop the plane at high altitude to snipe and lob grenades while taking minimal fire. -Let everyone stock up on armor and ammo before going into the fray. -Don't be cruel by leaving all your teammates to jump in the pool while you take the plane fo yourself. Not only will they get cut down by the heavy mguns, but you'll die very quickly. -NEVER LET EVERYONE DIE IN THE PLANE WHERE IT IS NOT ACCESSIBLE. If you're low on health, go to the cockpit and get the plane to move in either direction. If the plane is stuck in midair where no one can get it, you might as well restart the map.
