You will be inserted into the Vent system of the former Facility near the Security Gate. Here you will meet a support team already in position. The facility is heavily defended by a mixture of both Zen and Human mercenaries. Expect heavy resistance once detected. Priority 1: Use the advantage of suprise and stealth to destroy the Surface to Air Missiles (SAM) installation. Once the SAM is Destroyed, support troops will be automatically dropped in by Osprey. When the Landing Zone has been secured, find a way into the main complex. *** .: Mission Orders :. *** A) Open Main Gate (Squad B will assist). B) Destroy the SAM installation. C) Secure Landing Zone. D) Find a way into the main base. E) G-Man will issue additional orders, depending on player actions and the level of player difficulty selected. As such a full size mock up of the facility has been constructed and is available for training. It is highly recommended you use this mock up facility to practise mission objectives and gain familularity with the Facility's layout. 1. SC Virgin Team: For those that have never played SC or this map before. Single Player=YES, Lots of Hints and guidance, Aliens fairly easy to deal with, Ammo Plentiyful. (recommended 1-3 players) [Given a Hefty "One Off" Life Health Boost, Virgins Learn healing and preserve it.] 2. SC Recruit Team: Still learning the specifics of how SC works. Single Player=YES, Hints and guidance, Enemies/aliens still easy enough to kill. (recommended 1-3 players) [ Given a Moderate "One Off" Health Boost, see 1. above.] 3. SC Regular Team: Regular SC player, Single Player=YES, Enemies strongish. Hints scarce (COOP tactics recommended). [ How you would player SC normally but on a familure map.] 4. SC Hard Team: Average standard COOP Team & Players will cope. Single Player=NO (Min. 2 Players) [ SC but on a Difficult map.] 5. SC Veteran Team: Enemies don't want to die, COOP required to progress. Single Player=NO (Min. 3 Players) [ SC but on a Pain in the Arse Map.] 6. SC Nechrophiliac Team: Time to go live and meet your maker. Training and holo simulations over ! Be Co-op prepaired, pair up, watch each others 6 O'clock, & heal each other! (HINT: Avoid respawning and instead "Revive" team mates.) Rememeber the mock up may not have been 100% accurate. Be prepaired for the unexpected and don't assume things will go smoothly. Get ready to agree team tasks/objectives and never "wander off" without backup. NB: Opposing Force(OP) models used, so in addition to Sven COOP (ver 4.5), you need to have purchased, installed and run at least once: Half-life 1 and Opposing Force for this map to function as intended. Basic aims: 1) Build a map using as many of the new SC 4.5 features as possible. 2) Demonstate how much effort Community members have put into Sven Co-op and other Half-Life Mods. Game Play: Tried to make map enjoyable and varied a few things depending on difficulty. New Textures/Detail: Nope, kept textures standard as possible. Detailing normally there for a reason.
