================================================================================ * LEVEL INFORMATION * -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TITLE : Bases FILENAME : bases.bsp AUTHOR : Eivind Sommersten DATE : 12.05.1999 GAME : HL | Team Fortress Classic EMAIL ADDRESS : eivind@bgnett.no HOMEPAGE URL : http://www.shape.tm/eivind/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * LEVEL DESCRIPTION * -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bases is a TFC conversion of the level by Brian Green for QuakeWorld TF with the same name. This is a two-team capture the flag variant, where each team has their own base at opposite ends of the map. The objective is to get the enemy's key, and bring it back to your main computer in the top level. Demomen can also detpack the enemy computer. Capturing the enemy flag gets you and your team 10 frags, and resupplies engineers with metal - whereas detpacking the enemy computer gives 5 points to you and your team, and you are also resupplied with armor and rockets. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SINGLE PLAYER : 2 Player Start Point(s) CO-OPERATIVE : 0 Player Start Point(s) DEATHMATCH : 0 Player Respawn Point(s) TEAM FORTRESS CLASSIC : 2 Teams : 16 Player Respawn Points per Team SUGGESTED PLAYER LOAD : 6 to 32 NEW TEXTURES : No NEW SOUNDS : No CD TRACK # : 0 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * CONSTRUCTION * -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MAP BASE : New Map PREFABS USED : None EDITOR(S) USED : Worldcraft 2.1 Beta OTHER UTILITIES USED : None KNOWN BUGS : None COMPILE MACHINE : Celeron 266 (o/c to 333), 128MB RAM QCSG TIME : 54 seconds QBSP2 TIME : 154 seconds VIS TIME : 293 seconds QRAD TIME : 1347 seconds -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * OTHER LEVELS BY THE AUTHOR * -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HALF-LIFE : Bash QW/TF : 2gloom1 (TF) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION * -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Put 'bases.bsp' and 'bases.txt' in /Half-Life/tfc/maps. ... Ok, ok I know. Another CTF style level, doh. But I have valid reason. TFC comes with Rock, Well and 2fort. To me, as a veteran TF player, "Bases" has always been a natural addition to these three. I've had a lot of fun playing this map in QW/TF and so I think it's only fair that the TFC community should have the same opportunity. I've tried to preserve the gameplay and keep it as similar to the original as possible, and of course, with the new engine and all, I've given it a pretty heavy face-lift in the cosmetic section. Many thanks go out to Brian Green for making this map for QW/TF in the first place. Be sure to look out for my next TFC level, which will be fully homemade, with all custom textures among other things. Enjoy! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * CREDITS * -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Valve Software : For making a great game Brian Green : For the original map.
