===================================================================== Half-Life Map Spec Sheet ===================================================================== ------General Information-------------------------------------------- Title : Pipezone 2 - Capture The Flags (Build 17) Filename : pipezon2.bsp Author : Techniker (Walter Russell Swindell) Author Email : wrs01@iqmail.net Home page : http://i.am/techniker/ Description : A Capture The Flags map, designed for about 12-16 people. New Scoring model - multiple flags and multiple capture points, but the more difficult capture points are worth more points. ------Credits and Thanks--------------------------------------------- Promagnon is the original author (Nicholas Lawson - promagnon@home.com) Please see pipezone the original. I changed my name from BarCode to Techniker. :) Okay, I am including the rmf file so people can check it out and make a true territorial control map, but since I think we could use a new variant, and because I think the map is laid out more for it, I've implemented a multi-ctf in this one. open-source, have fun. Clan BeefCake: for the hours, days and months of critiquing and playtesting & also to PapaPup, and Loon, and the guys over at DP2 for being so pipe crazy. Caroline, my wife: for understanding my need to code, create, and visualize. Zoner: for some sweet compile tools. :) And thanks to Valve for Half-life, and, of course, the producers of Worldcraft, for whom I owe this success! ------Version Two Notes---------------------------------------------- 1) Totally Re-Textured, added sky and lights, and some brushwork. 2) New Scoring system built upon the torch2 theme, you take flags from your own base and bring them to a Command Point. The closest command point is worth nothing to your team, but 10 points the other team. The opposite goes for the Command Point close to their base. So, defend the close point. Also, to keep the games interest -ing and avoid ties, the middle command points are worth 1 point at Command Point 2, and 2 points at Command Point 3. Command Point 2 is easier to defend, but it only worth a point. Command Point 3 is hard to defend, but worth 2 points. Teams will need to space out their players in order to prevent the enemy from capping and to ensure the safety of their flag runners. ------Play Information----------------------------------------------- Deathmatch : Yes, Teamplay -> TFC Single Player : No Map Description : Two bases, red and blue. How Many Players: 12+ in TFC. A very popular range. It should be fine with up to 32 players, r_speeds are low: 93 average. ------Map Information------------------------------------------------ New Textures : nope New Sounds : nope ------Construction--------------------------------------------------- Base : Pipzone.
