Below lies their temple. And beyond that hidden away lies a secret U.N. "temple". FEATURES INCLUDE: Climbable light poles. Lights to flush out snipers. Some breakable rocks and pieces of walls just for the hell of it. A drainable water trap for the tau. A working guillotine trap. A radioactive trap for the gluon gun. This is what the green light is. Reviewers constantly complain that the green light is dumb because it comes from no where for no reason. IT IS COMING FROM THE ROOM WITH THE GLUON. IT IS RADIATION. IT IS GREEN AND CAN BE SEEN OUTSIDE SO YOU WILL KNOW THE TRAP IS ACTIVATED. THAT WAY YOU CAN DE-ACTIVATE IT BEFORE YOU CLIMB UP THERE YOURSELF. Sheesh. A spike pit trap. A big ass slide. A couple of secret rooms. A wall/ramp that can disappear with the flick of a switch thereby changing the layout of the map. Turning the wall/ramp back on will crush anyone in the way. Somewhere in the underground area is an invisible ledge which you can gauss jump onto and snipe people. Of course you'll have to find the ledge. ;) By the way, for anyone who might actually see the slight resemblences, some parts of this map were modeled after the Neue Staatsgalerie building in Stuttgart, Germany. This map was built on a pretty fast computer and as such it may not run absolutely beautiful on old systems. I am using an old ass TNT2 3D card and I have absolutely no problems running this map. I have played it on the internet with others and it played fine. There is an underground area with high r_speeds but it isn't constant. It's in the corners. If you have something really old like a Voodoo2 than yeah, you'll probably hate this map. It has a texture load that is high enough to cripple old, slow video cards. My lame ass TNT2 has NO problems at all though. If you at least have a 16MB TNT2 this map should play just fine. And yes, the title Bad Taste is from the Peter Jackson movie of the same name. Previous Maps : Bad Taste, Bad Taste Remix (they had mistakes. if you have them delete them) The new versions are called badtaste1 which is a small version, badtaste1_snowfall (the same map but set in winter) and badtaste2, the big version which you now have! It's an expensive type writer.) ------Map Instructions----------------------------------------------- Unzip the files in this archive. Place the map, "badtaste2.bsp" in your half-life/valve/maps directory. The new graphics are embedded into the bsp. You do not need the wad files. Place the files called "btasteah.wav", "btastehaunt.wav", and "btastehorr.wav" in your half-life/valve/sound/ambience directory.
