This is the most complete (because models are still being produced) selection of Half-Life player models of good quality every server must have.
Not only these models were selected and tested, but also custom coloring was added to many of them, missing previews were recreated.


What's included?

Who is this for?

- First of all - for players: no more need to spend hours digging a couple of nice models out of mountains of garbage.
- For HLDM server owners: pack does not contain any trash like temporary files and you will find models for every taste there.
- For collectors: this is history!
- For admirers of beauty: this is art!


Features:

- Original documentation was preserved and recovered (all text saved to modelname.txt).
- Many textures were edited to support customization of colors (though these colors are not always displayed correctly in previews).
- Added XDM character definition files that contain gender and voice information.


Installation:

- Unpack the entire archive into "Half-Life/valve/models/player/" directory.
- Note: some original models were modified, so it's OK to overwrite them when asked.
- Nothing else

- Half-Life 1.1.2.1 (steam) + XDM 3.0.4.0
- Windows 7 x64 + DirectX 11 + Nvidia GeForce

Interesting facts:

- Models were chosen out of more than 1500 total, manually.
- Lots and lots of models were just re-textured barneys, gordons and punishers.
- Although most of clan models were just poorly reskinned normal models, some rare exceptions made their way into this pack.
- Models are collected from all around the world, sometimes - from places many would afraid to visit :) - file archives, pirated CDs, abandoned HLDM servers, torrents, DC++, maps sent via IM, sites, forums, friends, clubs...
- Models were tested on original Half-Life and XDM ( https://moddb.com/mods/xdm | https://mods.moddb.com/5440/ ) mod, which greatly expands HL multiplayer capabilities.
- In the process of separation, piles of models of doubtful quality were formed: from "ok" that "almost made it" to "wtf" that can cause vision damage. :)
- Author of this pack made lots of models himself. Most of them were made for XDM, where you will find them. \(~_o)
